The Gastroenterology Clinic at Linköping University Hospital is the regional clinic for gastroenterology in the Southeast healthcare region. The clinic consists of an outpatient clinic for inflammatory bowel disease, liver disease, and functional gastrointestinal disorders (neurogastroenterology), day care, inpatient ward, and endoscopy. Job Description

We are now looking for reinforcement! We are seeking a licensed nurse with an interest in inflammatory bowel disease (IBD). We welcome both internal and external applicants – perhaps you are already working with us and want to develop further, try a new direction, or take the next step in your career. Or you may come from another organization and want to be part of our engaged and knowledgeable team.

For those already working within the clinic, there is an opportunity to rotate to our IBD team. Your basic employment will remain in your current unit, with rotation duties at the clinic. During the clinic's vacation periods, you will work in your regular unit.

Your Working Style and Our Work Environment

We work cross-professionally and team-based according to each patient's individual needs. Our well-established collaborations include regular multidisciplinary meetings, where we together create the best possible care for our patients.

As a nurse, you are responsible for ensuring that care maintains high quality and is based on the patient's needs and resources. You lead and distribute patient-related work and actively contribute to a positive and developing work environment.

In outpatient care, you will work with telephone counseling for our chronically ill patients, have your own clinic with a mix of phone visits and physical visits. We offer you a stimulating and varied job where you are involved in developing work with a focus on the patient's perspective. You will work in a team with nursing assistants, social workers, dietitians, and doctors. The patient group you will meet consists of patients with IBD.

About You

We would like you to have an interest in research and development. You are a licensed nurse, and a specialist degree and/or experience in our areas of illness are meritorious.

Since you will be in constant dialogue with patients and colleagues, it is a requirement that you have good knowledge of the Swedish language, both spoken and written.

As a person, you are confident, responsible, and have good collaboration skills. In your interactions with patients, you are empathetic, a good listener, and have the ability to see the patient's needs. You also have the ability to plan, prioritize, and structure your work independently. Other important qualities are flexibility and an interest in driving improvement work and operational development together with other team members. Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability.
